Sam Hall is a British contemporary potter, born in Shipley, West Yorkshire, in 1967. He studied ceramics at Harrogate College of Art and Design from 1985–1987, before completing a BA Honours degree in Ceramics at Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1990.
His ceramic pieces combine traditional pottery techniques with a modern style. His work often focuses on the natural qualities of clay, including its texture, shape, and earthy colours. Through careful craftsmanship, Hall creates functional and decorative pottery that highlights the beauty of handmade objects. Hall has been making pots since 1995 and is now based in Cornwall. His work has been exhibited widely in the UK and internationally.
